in Jazz and Contemplative Studies


The University of Michigan’s Bachelor of Fine Arts in Jazz and Contemplative Studies
is one of the first degree-level programs in a mainstream university to integrate a significant contemplative studies component with conventional coursework. It is offered in conjunction with the Department of Jazz & Contemporary Jazz Improvisation at the
U-M School of Music, Theatre & Dance (SMTD).
